Magnificent par 5 in which Gary Player's skill in interpreting the sinuous contours of the terrain shines through. The tee shot should put the ball in a position to pass the corner of the dog leg that curves to the left. The second shot must be carefully directed to avoid the water obstacle to the right. It is best to play the ball slightly to the left, also to counter the side slope of the fairway. The green is deep, but not too wide and players often use the high bank to the left to "carom" the ball into the green.
